Ms. Samantha Alford is the Owner of Heart of Gold DFW LLC in 2019 . It’s a program that houses individuals with mental health diagnosis, present/ past substance abuse illness and/or just simply fell on hard times . We help these individuals develop healthy relationships with others , learning boundaries , connect with resources , help apply for needed resources , activities to help mentally stimulate the individual . We want to help individuals that want to do better and make better decisions .
She’s also an Founder and Executive Director of Healing Broken Hearts in DFW non- profit a community driven, non-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals heal past trauma ; free counseling , resources , support and employment workshops . Raised in Fort Worth, Texas , Samantha attended elementary and high school in the area and participated in community programs throughout the city. Samantha was brought up in a structured christian household where religion was important , her father pastored a church of his own and she mentored the young ladies at the church ; Later in life after many obstacles , Samantha obtained her associates degree from Tarrant County College where she received her LCDC-I with honors in Substance abuse and mental health counseling , she is now attending UTA to expand her counseling and resource development options to the community . She worked at a Fortune 500 Company as an escalation manager for fifteen years while being a single mother of three and holding down a part time job. During her collegiate career she accessed invaluable experiences and knowledge and she wants to see more individuals with a healthy heart and more opportunities to those that might not have had the same opportunities as others . There is a great population of crime, social and economic issues in Texas neighborhoods; many minority individuals are incarcerated or victims of the city’s senseless violence.
With her own personal encounter with life’s unfortunate circumstances and understanding the importance of a healthy mind and heart it is her desire to take part and strive for a change. After years of contemplation and having the goal of launching a non-profit organization benefiting her community, Strive Survive Succeed was founded in 2023. In December 2023, her non-profit organization became a fully formed 501(C)(3) with great support from her community, family and friends.
